VOLT

 VOLT- Circomedia

This is the first post in a series about my experience at VOLT. How it inspired me to peruse The Cycle further, as well as share the feedback I received, images and footage that was taken.

VOLT is a scratch night at Circomedia Bristol, it's an opportunity for South West based artists to try new work and receive feedback.

Due to Covid I was unable to perform The Cycle as part of my Final Major Project during my third year as a student at Circomedia. Therefore when the opportunity arose to perform as part of VOLT at Circomedia, it felt right to apply.

It was wonderful to be able to perform my Final Major Project at Circomedia like many of my class mates managed(, we had to choose which modules we had to do on zoom and which in person).

I would recommend VOLT to any South West based artist that would like to try new work. There is feedback on your application should you be unsuccessful, support through admin needed for the show and wonderful images and footage taken by the Circomedia marketing team. The audience feedback from the Q&A and written sheets is priceless.

Since VOLT I'm on the hunt for other opportunities to develop The Cycle further and am applying to suitable ones when I find them.

To see what I performed at VOLT and follow The Cycle on it's journey to a full show follow this blog, my Instagram or Facebook.
